CCRC
 Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are also referred to as life care communities. These communities have been given this name because they are usually require a once in a lifetime decision. This may be a residential alternative for adults that wish to have one community and never have to move even if their condition worsens. Your loved one may wish to move into a CCRC if they want a continuum of care. Within one contract, a resident can start out in an Independent Living unit (an apartment or cottage), with amenities and access to a range of long term services as the health and social needs of the resident change. Located all on the same grounds, residents can move from Independent Living to the Nursing Home phase as their needs change.
