Respite Care

Respite Care allows you, the caregiver, some much needed time. Both caregivers and individuals need a break from daily routines.  Respite Care can be for a few days, a couple of weeks or months. This service is great for the patient so they can thrive in a new setting and is useful for families to rejuvenate.  The course of stay depends on the family and the patients’ needs and interests. Respite Care can be provided in many long term care facilities.  It can also be viewed as a “spring board” towards long term care (if necessary) so patients can try out the facility and see how they feel in a new environment.
